Urban Plein Air Challenges 2.0 - Saturdays

Time: Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  (4 weeks/ 2hrs)

Prerequisite: Intro to watercolor class

Plein Air is the French word for “open air.” In the artist's world. It means to practice painting outdoors from real life versus painting from a picture. Legend has it that your paintings are more vibrant and energetic from being on site to capture the energy. But you will have to find out for yourself if that is true. Four Saturdays in a row, we will meet at a different location and will tackle an urban Plein Air site in downtown Colorado Springs. This means learning how to paint on location. It is great practice for learning sketchbook development for your next trip. But it's also a fun time to slow down and realize the uniqueness and beauty of Colorado Springs.
