The goal of this class is to find the delight and playfulness of watercolor. We will cover the basics of watercolor from color charts, to painting a still life, and composing a landscape painting. Most of the class will be spent on practicing watercolor technique within the context of the elements of art. The intent is to inspire you to take your paints to the mountains or on your next trip and create a venue for you to be able to soak in the beauty of nature.

Please have these supplies at the beginning of class.

Watercolor 2.0

Starting: Monday nights in September 16 - Oct. 15
Location: Surface Gallery

A more in depth look at color theory, composition, and sketchbook development. Taking the concepts you have been introduced to and putting them into practice from a variety of angles. 

Your palette and brushes from the 1.0 class work. Just make sure to have a stock of Arches watercolor paper.

Full price per person is $120. On sale for $98 until beginning of August.

Watercolor in the wild

Watercolor in the Wild (Intermediate) - Saturday Workshops meet at 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and start your morning off with the delight and challenge of painting outdoors. It is $15 per workshop. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. I will provide you with paper and instruction.
