“Creativity is on the rise as a top skill leaders will need to face the increasingly complex challenges the future has in store for them. Creativity, like any other leadership skill, can be learned and practiced.” ”
Teams need to be strong and rooted in deep understanding. In this workshop we will use the power of creativity and visual thinking in order to open up possibilities and connections that might not otherwise be found (Brown & Kātz,2019, p. 22). We will dive into a deeper understanding of yourself, your team, your company, and your audience. You will learn that creativity is not just for artists and that it is something that is in all of us.
Target Audience: Business and team settings. Often small businesses or nonprofits only have one creative staff member or even worse, they outsource their creativity. Many people do not even indulge in creativity because from a young age they were told they weren’t so good at art. Well, creativity isn’t just something for artists. It is something that is in all of us. You can build a better team and better products by incorporating creativity into your workplace.
Time: This workshop is designed for three breakout sessions of forty minutes to an hour each. You could complete them back to back in a morning, or incorporate them into the beginning of a weekly meeting.
Enduring Idea: There is something creative in all of us! Creativity builds deeper understanding.
Materials:Sharpies, post-it notes, large pieces of paper
